I'm experiencing massive keyboard lag when I put the phone in landscape (wide screen) mode when I'm in the browser since ive gotten the update. I had never had a problem receiving my text messages - that is until I started playing around with my phone.   This is what I have noticed:   When I am on EVDO, I cannot get my texts.  When I switch to 1x-Only, I can get all of my texts, even those that were sent while on EDVO.   The reason I never noticed this was a problem is because I live in southern Idaho, and we don't have fancy networks here.

I heard disabling 3G (aka EVDO) would improve bat life, so i tried changing to 1x only mode in the Wireless Controls settings. 1x mode is also the mode the phone runs on when outside sprint's 3G network. I have two Motorola I 580's.   One will only operate on the speaker phone. If I get a call, I have to use it in speaker phone mode. In an article over at AndroidandMe.com, they have shed light that the HTC Hero will be shipping with 1.5 instead of the newly released 1.6, aka Donut, android version. Every time I receive a txt msg it shows a time stamp of an hour earlier, anyone else getting this. Anyone else having trouble restoring their contacts via Palm Profile?  The site itself is entirely worthless.  The best Sprint customer care could come up with was "this shouldn't be happening" and Palm support apparently works on the insanity model (having me do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result).   If you're trusting this system to back up your contacts you might want to do

I am running a task manager on my phone as of right now that way I can see what apps are running and which are not.   The ones I see as always running are Peep and the Stocks app.  I don't have stocks, nor do I use the **** that is Twitter.  I would like to permanently kill these and have them never return so that I can make sure that I am freeing up as much as I can on my phone.   Any ideas on how to do

When I use my own ringtones via mounting the USB device, is there a way to turn off the full ringtone when I answer it? If a ringtone is 30 seconds long and it's sitting right next to me, it's awfully annoying to hear the 27 seconds left of a ringtone after I answer it. The ringtone just keeps going on and on and on even after I start texting after I answered it. Anyway to turn that off?

I bought the HTC HERO Sunday and the QWERTY was able to switch from vertical to horizontal when it was turned on its side.  The next day, it didn't. I tried all the possible troubleshooting solutions but it won't change to horizontal on its side.  Has anyone had this problem with the HERO?  I'm going to return it but am wondering whether to get another HERO or a different phone.  I'd appreciate feedback on this

Every couple of seconds, the white lights on the outside of my phone flash on & off. I have tried resetting the phone, taking out the battery, etc & nothing gets rid of this. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening??

All android users that downloaded the application adobe photoshop.com.   It runs in the background all the time and even reopens after you force kill it.  It has been reported by many users that this is happening.  So don't use the application or uninstall if you have it.
