While we're working on more specific instructions, I thought some of you might want to take a look at this Quick Tour link - http://www.jivesoftware.com/builds/docs/clearspace_community/latest/ClearspaceQuickTour.html#CollaborateonContent Please not that we won't be using the last two items on the list - Collaborate on Content or Get Things Done
Hi MDG -
Yep! Same platform as Sprint Space.
It'll have a signifcantly different look-n-feel from out of the box, but yes, same core software.
Just started looking at the link you posted to the new site tour, looks really sweet. A tad complex for a new user (might want to suggest one save the page that the link takes ya to so you can refer back to it when needed), but from what i`ve seen so far it`s really nice. Question, will we need to have cookies enabled to use the new site (not a biggie for me, but some folks get kinda finicky about it)? Looking forward to the new site! N9NRA
On pretty much any login-based site cookies will be required otherwise it won't be able to keep you logged in at all. The issue previously I believe with logging in here is that the cookie issuing server is separate from the rest so it doesn't keep you logged in. In addition if you have your browser set to not accept cookies from a different server it won't work. Assuming the servers are hosted in the same domain that shouldn't be a problem now, but I don't know how it will be setup.
It's the same software that was used for the Xohm developer portal.
I'm glad you're migrating from this lithium board. I never liked it, too buggy. Too many times I wrote a long post just to click submit and it tells me I need to login.
I don't know where else to put this, so here is good enough for me.
The new site is horrible. I'm sorry, but it's just an awful experience. I've given it a week to try and get used to it, but my first impression is the same.
Will gave me an email address to forward my detailed complaints, which I did. I just wanted to say publicly that while I appreciate everyone's hard work in getting a new site online, I think Sprint really missed the mark (again) for it's customers. The new site feels like it doesn't want me here. It's difficult to navigate, not user friendly and not intuitive at all. There shouldn't be a "learning curve" for a USER FORUM!
I have an obligation to fight through this for another month (thanks again, Sarah!
) and I'm sure I'll try to stay even after that and help where I can, but it's a guarantee I won't be able have as much of a presence as I did with the other site.
btw, I'm not saying bring the old site back or anything, just make this one better!

just curious, but is this the same software/setup that is used on the internal Sprint Space site? Looks very familiar. Either way, looking forward to using the new site.
