The palm pre appears great with the exception that it is not ready for all certificates & or over rides.  I was looking forward to replacing my instinct as the palm pre appears business worthy.  For personal email & use it is great.  Without being able to link into my Co's exchange server it is useless.  I also got 2 different heads up.  Cust service rep says I need to pay an extra 20 to link into an exchange server??  I am on the everything plan & had no issue with the instinct other than how it types.  The tech tells me it is what it is for now...try a softwarre upgrade.

Why is the Pre $199 when the iphone equivalent (8GB) is now selling for $99.  I would think sprint would want to compete with AT&T and try and get back customers that left for the iphone.  I would not be interested in paying $100 more when the iphone currently has more applications available and the bugs have already been worked out.  Sprint what are you doing?

Moslty everyones issues with certificates have been rectified with the latest web os updates. The updates have been been coming fast. I love my Pre. I think its amazing how everyone is comparing a 3rd generation device to a 1st generatio nproduct. As i recall the 1st generation Ipod did not have a plethera of apps either. The apps are coming to the Pre as well.

I love my pre as well.  I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get any ringtones or games yet, but I am aware that the apps are coming.  Do you know of a date?  I love the texting and internet on it.  Very easy to use and the card system is wonderful!  =]

What card system are you referring if I may ask?  Are you speaking of Norton's?  Do you think it was worth the $$$$, as I am considering switching from my trusty (but old) Samsung A900?  Thanks, Jim Breslin

I like my Palm Pre but I am very disappointed because of all the hype that the phone does not live up to. I had the nextel 870 and could do short videos, this phone cannot do any. I cannot share music or ringtones and Metro Pcs basic phones can do that. Please tell me that these things will be improved shortly. I was told by customer service that I could not order the Palm Pre over the phone so I purchased an instinct and was told of no additional charges if I swap it out and pay the difference because they also told me that no Pre's were in stock at first. Guess what, they charged me a $35 restocking fee to get a more expensive phone, customer service did not have to lie about it. One more thing, the booklets that come with the Pre don't give a lot of help if you are not familiar with the Palm phones, I have had to call customer service a couple of times already and now since I know that you cannot forward any information, I guess I won't call for that now! Thanks to the information found on this site, I have found out quite a bit, actually.

have had the pre for 5 weeks and im dissapointed. Worthless app catalog, cant run any flash, and it broke today while in my palm holster. Seriously no lie, put it in and took it out and was "cracked on the lcd screen". This to go with the cheap feel to the phone.gonna wait a year, leave sprint early and move to iphone. regretful
