Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

Could you add a Red theme to the flavor of choices?

Not sure if screen protectors could be an issue with the gestures or not, but with a little umf on the surface, my phone does mute calls and alarms, where as being gentle doesn't work at all.

Request for multi-touch...why not, it's capacitive and if palm, htc, and apple can play, then why not samsung.

Pressing the back arrow while in portrait view on the web does a back up on the zoom and pages ( like opera mini on the Instinct )

but in landscape view it backs out to the main/first screen of the web browser, not sure if that can be corrected.

Also in portrait view on the web browser I've noticed that the screen will sometimes split into two uneven halves, increasing the zoom % seems to have helped but it's something to look for.

We can't post on this site using the browser, is there a work a round?

In order to post from the HD on buzzaboutwireless, go into Opera's settings and enable Mobile view. When done posting, just change it back.

Re: Gestures. They worked prior to MR-1. They don't require you to touch the screen, only move the phone in a certain way. For example, turning the phone over, face down should activate snooze/silence alarm or ringer using only the accelerometer and the proximity sensor.

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

Ok, had a really bad glitch on Friday. I was typing a text message and the phone's screen went screwy(kind of did that several screens overlayed over each other deal). Anyway, long story short, the phone then shuts off. When I turn it back on, all my text message history is gone. Even messages I had locked to keep. This one is pretty disturbing because if I had truly had anything really important it would have been lost as well.

Please add this to the list of fixes.  Sprint tv is interferring with the favs menu on the phone.  When it fails to launch, it presents an alert, and erases 1 favorite everytime.  Pressing the arrow ( in list view ) the tv works fine.

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

Once the battery goes low and the accelerometer stops working, you need to power cycle the device to get the accelerometer working again. Simply charging it back to full status does not Re-activate the accelerometer.

If you can fix this, that would be great too

Are you guys still reading this thread? No feedback from any Sprint rep is making me wonder

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

1) I would like to see the option for turning OFF the haptic touch screen.  As a previous owner of the original Instinct I got very adept at text with my fingernails.  If you have fingernails it is VERY hard to type on the haptic touch screen since is does not sense any heat.

2) Improved battery life is a must.  Can't make it through the day.

3) More apps!  If there were an app for managing my checkbook I could stop carrying my Pocket PC.

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

I'm right there with you on 2 and 3, but on your first complaint. You are unfortunately confusing Haptics with the Capacitive touch screen. Haptics just refers to the vibration feedback when you touch the screen. The reason the screen is no longer pressure sensitive is because it is a capacitive touchscreen(like the iPhone). Like the iPhone, this is not something that can be fixed. It is just the way a capacitive touch screen works. I will agree it does take some getting used to and I've found that I miss the accuracy of being able to fingernail items on the screen, but you also get a much better screen with better light through-put and typically, capacitive touchscreen last on the order of millions of presses longer than resistive touchscreens(which is what the origina Instinct was).

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

Someone reported that trying to upload pictures on the Twitter app freezes the app.  While this may seem true, I've noticed it's just taking a long time before it starts showing pictures for you to select ( up to two minutes ) and the app isn't really frozen up, it's just taking a long time to load pics.

Seems odd that it opens Opera Mobile just to view your pics, but that's what it's doing on my phone.  Give it a couple minutes and see if it's the same for you...

There is an initial lag between menus ( favs/main/fun, etc ) but it does eventually catch up to your touches, and seems to stop lagging once it does catch up.  Same lag appears to happen while texting. This initial lag also seems to affect the accelerometer too.

And finally sometimes sliding to unlock ( we know it does the hesitation/lag thing ) will sometimes slide to the end and stay there instead of opening the menus, like it's frozen up, but pressing the screen at that point and everything seems fine, and menus show up like they've been open the whole time.

I believe a lot of this is processor related and some tweeking could help improve, even fix, the lag in response time that is happening on the phone.

Overall, couldn't be happier, and anxiously await whatever fixes are coming.

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

You know, the gameday audio hasn't worked on this phone on NFL Mobile Live since I bought it...has anyone gotten in contact with the team at "hands on" about this yet?

Re: Attention: Instinct HD Owners - Feedback Request

I have reported this several times to the support page on the handson web site.

http://www.handson.com/support/index.php

I recommend every one else do the same. Maybe input every day until the problem is fixed.

I wish the Sprint People would contact them and turn the heat up.

What makes me mad is this is false advertising by Sprint.  They advertise that this phone plays NFL Mobile live and it does not.  It has never worked from the day they started selling the phones. I would not of bought the phone if I knew this.
