How do I DC a Sprint phone from Nextel?

Our phones are both Nextel, but our son has a Sprint phone. We just activated free PTT on our phones after Sprint decided to stop charging for it. However, his PTT number is not like ours. We have the old Nextel ###*######*# PTT numbers, his is his telephone number followed by @sprint.com. We can't enter a @ into a direct connect number on our Nextel (Motorola "i" series) telephones.

So, how do we DC him?

Try having him DC you then and see what comes up?

Actually, if memory serves...Q-chat enabled phones use their phone number as the PTT number. So, if your son's Q-chat phone number is (777) 222-3434, then the PTT # to enter into your iDEN phones would be 777*222*3434. That should work.

But as was previously mentioned, the alternative would be to have your son enter your PTT number into his Q-chat phone, then use Q-chat. Then you'd see his number pop up and be able to save it accordingly.
