Sprint 4g network with internal laptop wimax cards?

Im looking at getting a lenovo SL400 and have the option of getting a wireless card that is wimax compatible, but I am curious if I will be able to use it to connect to the sprint network.

My company gave me a sierra wireless 598u 3g card so I use that, and I know they are planning on going to the usb 300 cards for 3g/4g but was wondering if I could my internal card rather than the usb300.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Sprint 4g network with internal laptop wimax cards?

The specs appears to list it as WiMax/WiFi.  I didn't find any mention of 3g.  I checked out the support pages on these as well, it looks like the driver it directs you to is a Intel Wimax driver.  This I know for sure is strictly 4g.  I haven't seen an add-on option for 3g/4g, just one or the other.  If they did something like this I have a feeling it would be in two separate modules.  As in, give you the option to add 3g and/or 4g.  I really wouldn't be surprised if they started including WiMax as stock just as they do with WiFi now.
