Greetings!
I have spent time researching this on the web but have not found a solution...
An issue with Exchange ActiveSync has surfaced with my (brand new - whoo hoo!) Touch Pro2. When setting the ActiveSync Schedule to sync "As items arrive", no synchronization takes place. However, when I manually sync or set the ActiveSync Schedule to sync "Every 5 minutes" everything works as expected.
To isolate whether this issue is with the phone or with the Exchange server I set up the same email account on another (older) cell phone with Exchange ActiveSync. This older phone worked flawlessly when ActiveSync was set to sync "As items arrive"... the emails arrived almost at the same time as they arrived in the desktop PC's Outlook client.
In addition I tried a total of 3 different exchange accounts on the Touch Pro2 and none of them sync'd correctly when set to sync "As items arrive".
Can anyone else confirm this behavior?
Does anyone know of a way to remedy this?
Thanks in advance!
Mark
I have not seen this issue. I did however notice that my emails weren't showing up automatically in the morning and noticed that the default setting was to have it set for delivery once per hour during non-peak times. Any chance you were having this issue during non-peak times?
CableTVGuy,
Thank you for your reply... I had already changed the "non-peak times" setting to "As items arrive".
However, I have the solution and will post below.
I gave a call to HTC tech support and they were very helpful...
The issue seems to be resolved now...
HARD RESET is the answer!
How to HARD RESET:
Start / Settings / All Settings / Clear Storage
i have had this issue since day one of the phone. i purchsed it on launch day. i have had 3 TP2s and they all had isues syncing "as items arrive". the server i use here at the job is 2002 sp2. i have a htc hero and it does activesync perfectly. hard resets does nothing. the pro1 had no isues with activesync... i can set it to the other options, say 5, 10, etc... and it will reach out and sync.. but that is not what i need or desire.. id like to keep this open and would appreciate any help.
would be great if sprint tech support would come online and help me...
