Wow...unprofessional comes to mind. People rely on these services, and to not even tell your customers Anything? Loving Sprint more every day!!!!

Re: Do you suffer from iPhone envy?

I fully agree with this article. I have known this from my own personal experience. When I was last with AT&T (then Cingular)it was just as bad then.....apparently it hasnt changed. It is hands down, the WORST network in the states and knowing this is why I have stayed with Sprint instead of being tempted with the iphone. After all, with the exception of Sprints shortcomings with the Instinct, it is still a great voice and data supplier.

Re: Do you suffer from iPhone envy?

Thanks for starting this thread. I have an Instinct which I love, but my curiosity still keeps leading me back to the IPhone. In fact, I was on Apple's website not more than a few minutes ago trying to decide if it was going to be worth it to just go ahead and invest in the device. Based on this article, I don't think that I would be a happy camper if I paid for a second high-priced phone such as this and got the subpar service described.

Re: Do you suffer from iPhone envy?

Replace AT&T with Sprint and that article has pretty much been my experience with the Instinct. I only get about 70% of my voicemails through visual voicemail. The rest either mention that it didn't work, so call in to check voicemails, or don't tell me at all. Aggrivating that is the fact that the non-visual voicemails get deleted in five days.

Poor reception? As far as I can tell, my old katana got better reception, but it still wasn't great. Places that show up on their website as fully covered have me missing phonecalls and *usually* getting a voicemail right away.

I agree with oneMadRssn , I never had AT&T envy to begin with. I had iPhone envy. And the iPhone still does OVER 18,000 things that my Instinct doesn't. So the iPhone envy is still intact.

Re: Do you suffer from iPhone envy?

It's worth pointing out that this dude had issues in the SF Bay area. I live in Tampa Bay & have had zero issues w/AT&T since July 2, the date I got my iPhone 3G S. Everything has worked as expected network-wise, and the phone itself easily exceeds expectations by leaps & bounds.

It kinda hurt to leave Sprint after 8 years; I only wish Sprint & Samsung would've done the Instinct right from Day One to quell my desire to jump ship...

Re: Do you suffer from iPhone envy?

If only the instinct was atleast decent compared to the iphone i wouldnt be having the recurring dream of switching to crappy AT&T just to have an iPhone

Re: Do you suffer from iPhone envy?

Nope.  I use the 1 person I know with one's iPhone and I have a greater appreciation for Sprint and my BlackBerry.  I found it quite funny when he was making a call couldn't hear the person on the other end and then and kept blaming the coverage in his house (where the person he was calling was at).  So he called  home to the landline and the call still wouldn't go through without reattempting a couple times and then he still couldn't hear them.  The irony of it all is we work around the corner from an ATT MTSO, he hits a tower that runs directly into the MTSO. (I would imagine runs directly into the MTSO, if it runs off the POTS network to the CO and can't make a 200' run into the MTSO then ATT deserves all the problems they have)  ATT capactity FTW!
