My phone just came out of it's sleep with a message saying there was a new update. It is downloading now. I had already done MR-7. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
I just had this happen to me as well. I was actually in class so i had to cancel it till later, but then took a quick look at what it was to "fix" (theres nothing broken on my phone, its just like everyone elses, very sluggish and slow) and it said a few apps would be updated (which afterward all had to update when i tried to open them, email, navigation, and web) but i dont see a major change. any idea what this actually did?? im planning on switching to a pre or maybe an HTC hero (need to do a little more research on that one still, i learned my lesson with the instinct about not looking into reviews before you buy) pretty soon, so im not sure if this will change my mind. if they could fix the overall slugishness on the phone, or even just the keyboard opening and closing, id be much happier.
Only thing I'm seeing updated is my prl: 60654, but I'm not being prompted for any new update. Do you have the Instinct or the S30?
My PRL updated as well. I know this is supposed to impact roaming, but I swear my signal strength has improved. It has been pathetic at my house for quite some time.
Goy, same here! PRL 60654. About an hour ago I checked my PRL which at that time it was 60653, then went into the settings & updated PRL then checked again and it was 60654. I read somewhere that an update is usually pushed after a PRL update, any truth to this? I did this due to my navigation not working, but this did nothing to help that.
This may have something to do with the handsets that were prone to receiving the wrong app updates (music store in particular) that was promised by "lwm" to be fixed this week. read last post on thread....... http://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/21263?start=30&tstart=0&reqsorting=dec

I have the original Instinct, my PRL is now also 60654, but it did do a PRL update after my firmware update. i havent noticed any difference in anything though, so im not sure it applied to my phone, possibly just fixing bugs that have still been reported by a few users?, ive done a few google searches to find out about it (this has ALWAYS worked in the past) but i cant find anything about an update after MR-7, which if memory serves me corectly, sprint said would be the last update they would be releasing.
