Instinct HD demoted(?) Not again!!

I was looking at Sprint.com and was again surprised that their new Instinct HD that just launched as a "SMARTPHONE" has like the original been demoted, It is no longer listed as a smartphone. This is not done by accident two times, both the org and this one was advertised as a smartphone. I wish I got a screenshot of it before to counter all those who will come here a month/year from now and back sprint by saying it never was advertised as such.

While searching on here for any word on it I found one post by goygacon, So i copy/pasted it here.

Talk about Deja Vu all over again...to look and see
the new Samsung Instinct HD has been removed
from the Smartphone category....
Pathetic, really guys...Just pathetic....time to edit
the announcement quote....again...

Re: Instinct HD demoted(?) Not again!!

Levi,

Normally, I would agree with you but this time I really am not surprised by this move one bit. This is what we call the classic "bait and switch." I think that I and several other Instinct users warned everyone that Sprint would pull this tactic again and shaft the Instinct HD users. So far, Sprint has answered in spades. After all the heck with the M800 and the S30, the HD comes out the gate with battery issues and many others right out of the gate. History has officially repeated itself with the Instinct HD.

Honestly, I do believe that the "Instinct" must be codeword for alpha or beta test bed project. I think with this revelation that the Instinct, s30, and the HD were originally advertised at Smartphones but now reduced to media phones, that we've got a good case for legal action here. False advertisment, bait and switch tactics, flawed or faulty product, and failing to deliver services. I think with enough effort and a darn good lawyer, this could even become class acton status.

I concure. From all the issues with the M800, I thought that our phone WAS a beta (and probably is). This consistent downgrade from Smartphone tells me that the Titan project should be scrapped. Android is here, why drag out the apparent Titan failure.

Geez...The H.D. doesn't need a Titan platform....it needs a Working Real Open platform for developers...If developers are going to need to change something with thier apps everytime the H.D. gets an update just to get their apps to work, who's going to invest time?

Video shows a cool 3-D game....anyone play it yet?

So if the packaging says Smartphone is that what makes it a smartphone? Whether they called it a smartphone or a feature phone isn't it the same phone? So basically who cares you either like the HD or dont, I dont think I've ever bought a phone because it said smart in front of it.

Re: Instinct HD demoted(?) Not again!!

Well, that's not a fair assessment.  I thought it would be cool to own a Smartphone made by Sprint and Samsung when I bought the Instinct.  To own a Smartphone without winmo labeled to it.

You have to admit, If you thought what you we're buying ended up Not being what it was dubbed to be...kind of disappointing, wouldn't you agree?

Anyways...found the article...
