I talked to Ken today and he told me that the CL14 update for your Samsung Moment will be available OTW from your PC starting this Friday (02/19/10). You’ll want to look in the “How do I?” section in the “Advanced” category in the support section of sprint.com (link below). I will update with a link directly to the instructions once it becomes available.http://support.sprint.com/support/device/Samsung/Samsung_Moment-SPHM900ZKA

I had a question about the PC OTW version of the CL14 update. I was reading, I thought it was a thread on here, that someone was saying that the reason that all the info on the phones was erased with the CL14 update done through a Sprint store was because the software on the Sprint computers were not meant to update phones, just to wipe the phones clean and reinstall software. I was wondering if this was true or not, and if so, does that mean if we update our Moments ourselves, all our info that is saved on the phones (downloaded programs, contacts, text messages threads, etc) won't be erased?
The download link for the update is broken.

It's not broken, it just has not propagated yet. Give it another hour. ![]()

EDIT: Apparently the link is not broken, but just has not propagated. Thanks for the clarification.

No, this is not true.
OK. Thanks for the update.
We're hearing it should be available about 12:00 PM CST.
Nevermind....It's available now. And....GO!!!
OH **** GO GO GO GO GO! ![]()
(downloading already)
Alright... the PC fails to detect the phone as connected when I get to that step. Tried it on two different PCs now, one is WIn XP Pro SP3 the other Win 7 Home Premium - gets hung at the same place on both machines. In both cases, I get an error message from Windows about how new hardware has been found, but then that the new hardware has failed to install correctly. And then the SW Upgrade program just sits there trying to detect the phone as connected.
Help?
Got it, installed fine. Is it normal for My Downloads in the Market to be empty after the upgrade? I was under the assumption that all previously downloaded apps would show up in there so they could easily be re-downloaded, but mine just says there are no downloads.
I have setup my gmail account and synced my contacts and stuff back in with no prob.
@Sneeko
Did you make sure you had uninstalled any existing samsung usb drivers on the computer before installing it, I had a similar issue and had to do that while upgrading a friends phone.
i have an issue with my phone since i received this update in the store. my network connection likes to hang when I'm streaming a video for a while. i read somewhere that this is caused by a bad flash on the phone. will reflashing this from home fix anything or am I wasting my time?
Yeah, I've made sure there were no existing Samsung drivers. As of now, I've also tried it on a 3rd PC, this one also with Windows XP Pro SP3, also previously clear of any existing Samsung USB drivers - and I'm getting the same result.
This sucks, I really want to be able to go more than a 1/2 a day before killing a fully charged battery, even with only minimal data usage. Going into a Sprint repair Center is currently not an option for me, the closest one that even has the update is more than an hour and a half away from me.
