How do you get device keyboard to stop jumping to different screens during texts? Turn of "Hotkeys".

I cannot text certain letters on the actual qwerty without it jumping to something else during texts..... Example: I want to text the word "the"..... i type t then h then when I hit the "e" it jumps to email.

How the heck do you turn this useless hotkey feature off?

I have tried for 2 days now, I hate the onscreen keyboard.

Howdy,

I saw your post a couple of days ago, and must have misinterpreted. I thought you were giving the answer! In other words, I thought you were suggesting that folks turn off hotkeys in order to prevent jumping to different screens.

Anyway, to turn off hotkeys, tap Menu from a home screen. Then tap Settings, Applications, Quick Launch. Long press an assigned hotkey to clear it.

I tried replicating your issue on my Moment and it took me over 15 minutes to make it happen, and the only way I could make it happen was if I held down the search button while typing other stuff... are you accidentally pressing the search button (looks like a magnifying glass) while typing? If not then that button may be stuck on your keyboard.
