I, along with many others here, have been anxiously awaiting a stocks application for the Instinct. Since it doesn't look like Sprint will be releasing one any time soon, I decided to make my own. I've been working on it for the last few months and decided to make it available now. The application includes almost everything one could want, including: - Portfolio transactions with unrealized and realized positions - Several charts, including intraday, YTD, and many in between - Full stock information, including daily volume, dividend, market cap, etc. - Summary view that can highlight your favorite stocks - Reorder or edit your list at any time - Complete integration with the Instinct look-and-feel You can read more about it and download it here: http://www.more-solutions.net/stocks/ Please add your feedback here as I'll be working on adding new features in the future.
- Triggers to be automatically notified when a stock reaches the price you want
$40 a year?!?!
at 9.99 I as already thinking it was a bit too much. but 9.99 every three months? wow. lmao good luck.... What on earth would possess you to price something that way?
I think this is a great price.
Signed,
Apple
Maybe I should have been more clear about the price. I'm expecting to continually update the application with new features and capabilities. All users will get new versions free with their subscriptions. For example, I'm currently working on adding recent stock news and will also be looking into portfolio tracking (stocks you hold, their performance, etc.).
I personally debated the price a lot and settled on $9.99 for each 3 months because I thought it was fair. I didn't include a 1 month option because the PayPal fees add up so fast. I see other games and apps sold with monthly fees of a few dollars, and believed this was more valuable as a productivity tool and also included the advantage of routine updates.
If you disagree with the price, let me know what you think is fair. I'm open to discussion.

Good unless you require real-time quotes.
good to see other developers. price is waaay too high though. monthly prices are what keeps me from buying anything from sprint. good luck making apps, it works well so far.
All users will get new versions free with their subscriptions. If you are paying $9.99 every 3 months, how are getting a new version for free? You're stilll paying. Say you charge a one-time fee of $9.99, you can then say that paid users will get all new versions for free.

This is my personal feeling as well. It's nice to see other developers, but I too do not purchase subscriptions. A one time fee (set it at whatever you think the market value is) would appeal to more users. I think the trial is nice, although most folks should know within a few days whether they want to buy it or not. Also, you should realize that someone one somewhere will crack your program and offer it for free soon. That will also deter those that would normally pay for a program to shy away from getting a legal copy they have to pay for every 3 months. This is just my opinion.

Hi,
Thanks for your effort in creating a stock application.
I would gladly pay a one time fee of 9.99, however I am
not interested in any monthly or quarterly fee.
Some of the highest grade apps on Iphone run less than $10
with no re-occuring fees.
JMO.
Thanks
