The Nextel National Network (iDEN) shut down on June 30, 2013.

If you have a device that operated exclusively on the Nextel National Network (iDEN), this means:

  • Your Nextel (iDEN) devices no longer can make calls, including 9-1-1 calls
  • Your Nextel (iDEN) lines have been cancelled
  • Your Nextel (iDEN) phone number(s) will be lost and you cannot move that number to another carrier.
  • You may lose contacts, pictures or other data stored on your Nextel devices

If you desire to resume service with Sprint on devices that operate on the Nationwide Sprint Network, please contact us  as follows:

Business customers:

Contact your Sprint representative or Dedicated Care specialist or call 800-927-2199

Personal customers:

Visit your local Sprint store or call 855-881-5353 today!  (add find a store link)

NOTE:  If you have a PowerSource device (ic402, ic502, ic602, ic902) , the push-to-talk feature stopped working at shutdown; the device, however, will continue to make and receive voice phone calls over the Nationwide Sprint Network.  As this is an older technology, we encourage PowerSource customers to move to the Sprint CDMA network.  Also PowerSource devices are no longer supported by Service and Repair and as of 6.30.13  you are unable to manage your PowerSource device via online account management tools.
