We are pleased to be “Best in Class” for paper and procurement practices at Canopy's Ancient Forest Friendly™ Awards, December 2012.

Canopy is a not-for-profit conservation organization dedicated to protecting the world’s forests, species and climate. Each year, companies are evaluated and all winners have completed a rigorous survey and evaluation process designed to ensure the Ancient Forest Friendly™ Awards provide a true measure of the action companies are undertaking to improve their environmental standards and advance forest conservation.

The 2012 Ancient Forest Friendly Award winners stand out among the hundreds of leading North American brands striving to improve their environmental performance by taking concrete action to reduce their environmental footprint and impacts.

Our strong commitment to sustainability as a core part of our business strategy continues to receive recognition. Earlier this year, we were named for the fourth straight year to Newsweek’s annual Green Rankings at No. 3 for the second year in a row. In addition in 2012, we were named No. 4 and the only wireless provider on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Top 20 Technology & Telecom list of green power users within the sector. This past summer, we were recognized by independent analyst firm Verdantix as the top U.S. wireless provider for corporate sustainability performance; and, for the last two years, Sprint Buyback has been named the best phone trade-in program in the industry by Compass Intelligence.
