Rated 4 out of 5†by JRZF Great little phone for calls and texts!
This is the best flip phone Sprint ever handled. Unfortunately, it can now only be purchased as a used refurbished Sprint phone through online dealers. It took me weeks and a bad online purchase to finally get a Sprint phone that had not been broken into by another company. I wanted a small, fits-into-your-pocket simple phone for calls and texting and this one is perfect. Of course, because it has no SIM card, I had to enter all of my phone numbers and info into it, but it was worth the time and effort.
The smallest flip phone Sprint currently offers is the Alcatel onetouch which is one pad under all the keys as opposed to separate pads under each key. My phone bill ran up one month because every time I punched in a number without looking at the screen, it was the wrong number. The Alcatel phone is terribly inferior to the Sprint service and reputation.
This Samsung phone rises to the outstanding service Sprint provides in other areas.

Rated 5 out of 5†by iwoelfle Excellent flip phone
When I came to Sprint, the only flip phone they had available was an Alcatel Onetouch Retro.
The Alcatel is such a very difficult phone to use that I purchased this Samsung M400. This is a very easy to use phone. The only advantage that the Alcatel has is that it accepts a memory card and this Samsung does not. The Alcatel is just like a toy compared to this Samsung. For ease of use, battery life and every way to compare, there is just no real way to compare as they are so very different.

How I miss the Motorola phone I had. I have never had a good Samsung phone. The menu in this one is poor. The ringtones are terrible. The speaker phone function failed not long after I got it. Since I'm retired, fixed income and the phone was 'free' (notwithstanding ACTIVATION fees!) I guess they don't want me to complain. But the phone is just inferior to all others I've used.
