I have had my iPhone 4S since October and today it just died. It went into a full restore mode and now I'm entering the setup process and it is giving me an acivation error. Telling me I cannot activate my iPhone. Plugged in to iTunes and I get the same error. Help?!

    jmoretter,

    I would recommend backing up your phone, resetting and then reactivating it on the network.  Steps are below to complete these operations;

    Back upyour  IPhone if possible.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109

    Resetyour IPhone

    1. Tap Settings.
    2. Tap General.
    3. Tap Reset.
    4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
    5. Tap Erase iPhone.
    6. Tap Erase iPhone again.
    7. The iPhone will reset.

    Activate:

    1. Tap on correct Language then tap the blue arrow (Next) at upper right
    2. Select Country or Region then tap Next at upper right
    3. Tap Enable Location Services then tap Next at upper right.
    4. Tap Enable Location Services then tap Next at upper right.
    5. To use Wi-Fi, tap a Wi-Fi network to connect to.
    6. If necessary, enter credentials to connect to the selected Wi-Fi network.
    7. Once connected to Wi-Fi Network, tap Next at upper right.
    8. Allow iPhone to Activate

    Restore:

    Tap Restore from iCloud Backup.

Enter Apple ID and Password then tap Next.

If customer has a iTunes backup of a previous iPhone:

Tap Restore from iTunes Backup then tap Next..

Connect iPhone to computer that has the iTunes backup of pervious iPhone and follow onscreen instructions from iTunes.

Mine did the same thing, Once that happens there is nothing you can do but have it replaced. If you have an Apple store near you take it in to them and they will replace it if they cannot get it to restore.
