I just happened to access the forums and saw that there was a post regarding a software update for the Galaxy S3.
I don't see an updated swype keyboard listed as an enhancement, and am wondering why. The version of the swype keyboard that comes installed on the S3 has a known bug in it -- the swype keyboard is unable to determine when it's necessary to use "i vs. I." I posted a message about this in the swype forums and received confirmation that this was in fact a bug that had since been corrected in an updated version. A forum administrator stated the fix had been sent out to the OEMs.
I've been in contact with Samsung support, but they have no information about an updated keyboard. I'm using the 1.4.9 beta keyboard. Any word on when Samsung/Sprint will be including an updated keyboard with a software release?
Edit: Just saw that Swype v1.5 (full version) is available for purchase or for use as a 30-day trial. Apparently Swype has been updated again, but the S3 is using an older keyboard.

UPDATES ARE NOT LOCATION BASED, THEY ARE RANDOMIZED BASED OFF YOUR PLAY SERVICES AND GOOGLE OTA SERVICES.
Sorry for the shouting, but people always assume updates are geographically based. They are not. When its your time, it'll be your time. You can try the trick of force closing and clearing data for Google Play Services, Google Framework Services, and rebooting your phone. Then go back and check for updates, but that doesn't work all the time.
You can follow this link to get the Official Update Zip from google and instructions on how to update your phone from MB1

AGAIN, this is OFFICIAL from GOOGLE SERVERS (Sprint and Samsung official update file). No funny business or anything that is warranty breaking at all. This is how a Sprint Store would do the update if you took it to them.
Your phone will reboot and you'll have the latest MD4.
I'm sure Sprint will remove this post.
don't think you should use that update file to go from MC3, but you should rather go here:
And download the Stock_Nodata.exe file on a windows machine and follow the instructions carefully, its a very simple ODIN one click. I'm sure you had to do this to get the MC3 on your phone originally as it wasn't offered as an update.zip file, so you should be familiar.

If you have a custom recovery, then you can follow this thread here:
You'll want the Odexed version. There are also the official update zips located here too.
