I recently bught a Samsung Galaxy S4. Since day 1 I was getting an error 97 when sending texts. Since I reset the Airave a few days after I got it I am getting an Error 34 when sending texts at home through Airave 2.5. I can receive texts just fine but can't send any. Also, my phone drops into data roaming at home on Airave. Tried erasing all data & resetting phone. Tried updating PRL and profile but nothing has worked. Is this a known issue and is there any fixes or workarounds?
I actually experienced this when I activated my HTC ONE along with my wife's LG Optimus G and our Airave. It frustrated me for a bit, but it ended up clearing itself out after a day or two. I found that using my phone on the Sprint Network away from home for sending/receiving texts and calls worked fine and then when I returned home with my Airave it worked perfectly after that. Not sure what would cause that and as far as I'm aware this isn't a 'known issue'. Try using as I did and see if that helps you out! Good luck!
I've been out of the house several times this week and it has not cleared up. Thanks for sharing your experience though. It does not seem like an isolated issue, My problem is that it is not a consistent problem. Yesterday I was able to send two texts after resetting the Airave. That seemed to only work that day though.
This sounds extremely frustrating and I want to help you out with this. Please try completely unplugging and resetting the Airave one more time and once everything comes back up, please go into the Settings Menu on your S4>About Phone>Sprint System Updates> and update the PRL & Profile. Once the updates complete, please turn off the device and remove the battery for a few minutes. This should help the Airave and the device reset and redo the connections. Please let me know if this helps.

Thank you for your kind suggestions. I tried what you suggested and it did not work. I am still failing to be able to send texts but I was able to receive 3 google verifiction code texts so I know I can still receive texts. Someone online mentioned provisioning might be the problem? I noticed that LTE is not provisioned according to the phone? I also am getting the S4's drop off into data roaming even though I am normally not more than 20 feet from the Airrave. My wireless router is giving me a strong signal so I don't why the airrave is having so many issues. The other phones in the house don't seem to have this issue. For the text messages is there a port that needs to be opened or a firewall on the phone that needs to be disabled possibly?
Hello, the issue with the error 97 and the error 34 are tied to a duplication of the network identifier within the device. This happens often when you upgrade and both your old device and new device are seen by the airave. Generally resetting the old device and powercycling the airave will resolve this. If the issue persists contact airave support for further instructions. hope this helps
Can you help me too? This error 34 is driving me nuts. I can't send texts at all. I've been hooked up to the airrave for about 4 gl hours now. . And its been happening since I activated. ..im frustrated. . I called tech support. . They haven't heard of this. . Told me reboot and reset everything. This isn't going to cut it. Help please
hi, thanks for your attention Sadly, did not solve the problem .. text undelivered ERROR 34 . Im just at a loss. Ive lived here 6 years, 5 years with complete coverage in my home. Last year, they took a tower down to upgrade it to 4G, and it has made my life miserable. Now every Sprint device, mine, or friends/family, continuously goes from no bars at all, to 4G for about a second, back to no bars. This amp was supposed to be my saving grace...but all Ive done is exchanged one problem for another. And I must say I am almost offended that customer care doesn't know what I am referring to.. Perhaps a smart way of free, proactive, ongoing training, would simply be to have employees take a look at the forum for 5 minutes every morning. It seems every one resorts to the forum because customer care never seems to have heard of the issue that sometimes thousands of people are posting about.. I do greatly appreciate your efforts.. Just super frustrated. I work from home. This is a big problem for me. Any other thoughts? thanks a million
yes, the problem is 100% being caused by the Airrave, only at home. I left this morning for 4 hours, 5 miles away.. I updated all the profiles and firmware away from home, as suggested by another post last night. I was home for about 2 minutes before I sent the text and it was returned undelivered
