It did, so I did a factory reset to remove al the bs apps it installed. They use up alot of memory for useless Sprint apps. There ought to be a way to turn it off. I did every suggestion I could find on the internet but none worked. On the phone with Sprint now. They don't know either. Alot of complaints about this on the internet and Android forums.
Yeah it can be how the device was activated this is why I asked how it was activated so what I would suggest is doing another hard reset call Sprint and have them activate the phone OTA. Basically get on a lan line with Sprint then have them send the activation to the device itself walk through the process of having the phone activated that way. This way things can be correctly sent to the device due to sometimes depending on how the activation was done things do not always get installed properly. It does not have anything to do with their Apps all devices not matter who the carrier is will have some things preloaded but that has nothing to do with the issue it's a install issue. Either way that's my suggestion sounds like something in the activation process did not complete or something.
It is THEIR application to change your home screens to what THEY want your apps to be. Which is ALL sprint apps like Sprint TV, Lookout Security, wallpapers and all kinds of bloatware .Uses alot of memory for useless stuff. ? all of this is removable...not exactly sure what youre talking about. are you talking about the tray at the bottom? the home screen? what exactly?
as to the built in apps..go into your settings-applications-all and disable whatever ones you no longer want to show up..it wont get rid of it fully..but it will get rid of any data it has stored away and or keep it from popping up. just beware what you disable..might be something that is needed for the phone to work properly.
kind of obvious why you cant disable sprint ID...its kind of needed. post a screen shot of what youre talking about. the only thing i can think of that youre talking about is the blinkfeed deal...if thats it then that is from HTC...not sprint..and no you cant get rid of that thing..you can only change up your home screen to another one and just not scroll to that stupid thing...still unknown if there will ever be an update to shut that thing down or at least make it removable.
