My girlfriend has had an HTC EVO 4G LTE for several months now and has consistently had intermittent (consisent inconsistency!) connectivity problem with our Airave 2.5. I had a Samnsung Galaxy II and now have a Galaxy Note II and they both have no issues connecting to the Airave. The kids' Samsung Galaxy Nexus phones connect fine as does as does an old Samsung Moment I had from a long time ago. Her old first generation HTC EVO connected fine as well.
Is this a problem with the EVO LTE or the phone itself? Any recommendations?

A few thoughts you may want to explore:
First, Since you already have 3 phones connecting to the Airave you want to ensure you have slots available since the Airave has a limited number of devices it will server at the same time. You can set up a restriction or white-list on Sprint.com/ This will only allow the phones you want to connect to do so.
You may also have her try dialing *99 when she has the issue. This should force the device to connect to the Airave.
Aside from that, I would be happy to get in contact if the issue continues and we can work with our Airave team to get to the bottom of the issue.
Thanks for the quick responses ... We have at most 4 connected to the Airave at any one time (which is the maximum - at least with the earlier versions of Airave). This happens to here whether all four of us are home or just her home. The moment that either the kids or I are in range of the Airave, we connect. She has a 40% chance of getting connected. Sometimes rebooting helps, sometimes not.
In Googling my way around the Internet, I've come across a number of EVO LTE users that seem to have this problem. The general consensus was a problem with the PRL and LTE and it not "seeing" the 3G Airave. On the other hand, I would think my Note 2 would have the same problem being that it's LTE as well but I have yet to have problem with the Airave.
Ok, I think that may be part of the problem, not the whole problem but part. If I recall correctly, the Airave only allows 3 simultaneous connections. So if you have 3 devices already connected to it then the 4th, could be having an issue.
I'm not completely familiar with the workings of the Airave, so bare with me.
There's also the possibility that some phones connect easier then other phones. Whether this can be update with PRL, Profiles or updates to phones or the Airave itself, don;t know. But it does sound like the Samsungs are connecting easier then the HTC phone is. Or maybe they are already connected when the HTC comes around. Don't know, just spit balling.

My evo lte connects well to the airave in my house, it also randomly connects to others when I am in several apartment complex's for work. I did call and have the coverage expanded on mine, the number was 866 556 7310 for advanced tech support for airave. Maybe try white listing so only your numbers can connect to it, you might have neighbors connecting to it eating up your usable slots.
We have the Airvana. We live on a corner lot in a town of a couple hundred people so I doubt we're getting many people (other than us) attaching to the Airvana. The singal doesn't travel much further than the lot boundaries anyways

Then it could be an isuse of reconfiguring or resetting the Airave. Not positive on this though. But each phone should be able to connect as easily as the next. The fact that the LTEVO is not could be phone related or it could be Airave related.

and Sprint do have OTA software they can push to the LTE to fix any connection issues. I had this done a couple months ago when i started having this issue.
give airave tech support (make sure its an airave tech) a call and they should be able to get these updates pushed.
Any luck on this issue? I'm in the same situation. I have the Samsung Galaxy Note ll and it also works fine on the Airave. My roommates Evo 4G LTE will not connect at all.
We updated the software and the PRL and have never got it to connect. Could not find solution from Sprint or Airave tech support.
