Not in the US they aren't CDMA is only good if you you have the new CDMA advanced which Sprint clearely will by pass for this stupid 4g marketing monicer. EVDO would save a lot of battery LTE will destroy it. This is why I got the Unlocked Galaxy Note for Straight Talk it does not have that stupid LTE BS HSPA + is more than fine for me. I can stream Netflix with no stopping. Try that with Sprint 3g.

You replied to the wrong guy. I know how Straight Talk works. Basically, with the right gear, it's the wild west and anything goes. My point was, it won't go on forever. This is their little experiment to see how far they can push AT_T. America Movil will have to tighten it down whether throttling, data caps, device restrictions, or rate increases.

    Hey JOE-Gotti ...Great Video !!! , i really like it ...

It shows the real painful situation for Sprint customers or former customers ( as me ). I also would have never thought changing carrier if the 4G coverage were better.

    Sprint said, they can't replicate the 3G speed issue ... yeah right !!!  (  http://www.jailbreakmine.com/sprint-is-working-on-slow-data-speeds-on-iphone-4s-but-they-cant-replicate-the-problem-now  )

Sprint really insults our intelligence with those statements i hope they have enough IQ to realize it, may be Sprint staff don't use Sprint phones and that's why they can't replicate the problem, is the only logic explanation.

Verizon and AT&T work great but $130 + taxes ( around $150 in total ) for me that's too much, StraightTalk voice quality is great, no complaint about it,  there is actually a data cap ( 5 gigas tops )  when i reached 4 gigas i received an automatic call from them telling me to stop using too much data, that was 5 days before my billing cycle ended, so i began using more wifi.

Apparently that scheme works for StraightTalk ( Tracfone ) they are in the market since 1996, in the meantime i will be using it and a lot of people is moving to them.

Zip: 48094, Michigan. I have the iPhone 4s and the speeds have been gradualy increasing but not by much at all. They need to make their towers hold a larger capacity of people because at night around 2am, I get about 1 Mbps... During the day i get around .12-.54 Mbps. So, I dont know if its Sprint, or if its their towers. But all I know is they better fix this before I go to AT&T. AT&T might not have the best voice coverage in my area, but at least I'll get Hspa+ (4G) speeds garaunteed.

Sprint can capitalize off of this slow network publicity. Sprint can bring back the Slowskies the 2 turtles from the DSL vs Cable isp commercials.

Even if it is 5gbs thats more than ATT customers get and at a cheaper price on their home network. Win Win for me at half the price. Sprint should stop wasting money on sponsoring TV shows like the Voice and Nascar and get the freaking network up to speed. One day a carrier will pop up that allows just data and voice where you can bring your own device. Kinda like your home ISP they do not try to sell you computers and all this other ****. Comcast does not try to insure my Computer.

Its a pain to stay with Sprint. This is my last contract! Ill be PrePaid BYOD from here on out. Check out the blazing speeds we are privliged to below from Sprint. I can recreate the problem easily. Just try to use data. Unlimited data, but the catch is there is no bandwidth. Its like getting tickets to a buffet, but you never actually get to eat you just stand in line.

Everybody I work with gets to stream music videos movies and what not, and all I get to say is I have the most powerful phone with the biggest screen, and no data. Forget that!

In the article you linked it's talking about replicating the situation of iPhone 4S getting 3x less data speed than a different smartphone.  I believe that statement to be true -- having a hard time to replicate it.  The reason I believe their statement to be true is because with such a terrible speed on a regular smartphone (0.1 Mbps down), it's pretty hard to get worse than that.   On the other hand -- they must have assigned a box of rocks to do the investigating & testing of the issue.  Sprint KNOWS the exact location in which it happens for Iphone users.  All it would take is to send one of their employees there with an Iphone and do some speed tests.  It's epic fail Sprint cannot replicate the issue.  This just says they never actually tried.  It honestly only requires someone smarter than a box of rocks to figure it out.

Hey anonymousCustomer good point, but you are off on your bandwidth math a little bit. The bandwidth we are getting is not 0.1mbps or 100kbps down were getting 0.01mbps down in that situation I agree with you and Sprint it will be hard to replicate the issue. I have an E4gT and if the iphone is getting 3x less speed they might as well just turn the phone off. At these speeds it will take appx 64hours to download a file that is 200MB. Money well spent.

There is nothing premium about this data!

I actually think they throttle becuase I have seen that happen here regularly. I think this is mass throttling where they limit the entire throughput of the city. Funny thing is NOBODY here has sprint. Lots of Verizon and ATT rarely do I meet people who use Sprint.

Sprint data speeds are abysmal here in Hampton, VA I barely get .3 mbps (300 KBPS). This is not acceptable for websurfing or viewing E-mails.

Sprint needs to work faster resolving this problem or people will leave this company for Verizon or AT&T.

I was using a friends phone for tethering to my computer and I was getting 10 mbps up and down and this is from AT&T.

So it is unacceptable that Sprint cannot give us decent data speeds.

Sprint data speeds here in central NC are terrible also, just tonight i was just trying to pull up a weather radar and it took 3 or 4 minutes to pull it up and when i checked my speeds it was 0.11 download and 0.08 upload...im getting fed up with the slow speeds and if sprint does not improve speed or wave my data add on fee i will probably be seeking other carriers cause why should i have to pay a 10.00 data add on fee on 2 lines for a data service that can barely be used.

I contacted sprint and they claim they have received no complaints about speed... But I did get them to give me a $20 credit since im obviously not getting the "Premium Data" im paying for...

I left sprint and moved on to bigger and better things for wait whats that for less money and no contracts...say it ain't so. Well there is always a catch with this deal. I have unlimited minutes (est: 5000min) unlimited text (est: 5000 text) and unlimited data (only 2gb) for $45 a month. I am using prepaid service running on native at&t towers and you are limited to unlimited data. WIth sprint you get unlimited dial up roflmao...with prepaid you get unlimited highspeed with limited quantity. You can use safely 100mb of data daily and about 2gb of data monthly but if you are heavy user than you will be kicked off. For my family we never touch 2gb of data and i am the heaviest user @ 1.5gb, wifey at 1.0gb and mother in law @ .5gb. This prepaid deal works out nicely, i get my iphone 4s, i save $$$$ and get high speed access. Can you guess the carrier for $45 for unlimited minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data for $45 per month. You can bring your own device too....speed test.png
