We have been a Sprint customer for over 10 years and are looking at transfering my work phone from Verizon. As well as being a premier customer (whatever that means), I am a member of a credit union and have been told that I can get a discount on the plans and possibly phones. Can you tell me how this works and the details?

Please note that a new two-year agreement would be required. Also note that not all plans and add-ons are eligible for the discount. You can call and tell them your a member of a credit union and they will add it 1-877-728-3428 or 1-888-211-4727
They do not give any special deals on phones, But the activation fee and upgrade fees are waived. The discount applies to lines 1-2 and any add on's $30 or above.

If you're a Credit Union member, you can fill this out and enter “Credit Union Member” in the "Employer or School Name" field along with the other requested information. Or call 866-853-4931, option 1 and mention Corporate ID code: NACUC_ZZM. Or use the information Levi4u provided.

My wife signed us up for the Credit Union Member Discount Program...and OUR BILL WENT UP! We had been on another discount program, and the credit union just nuked it.
Even though we are Sprint Premier customers, we are unable to "undo" the Credit Union "Discount". To add insult to injury, the Credit Union program extended our contract by two years.
If you had a discount applied already that was larger you can have that reapplied, You cannot have more then one discount at a time, They are not stackable. Call Sprint and they will set up the discount you had before if it is still offered. Also it clearly states "Application of discount requires 2yr contract extension on existing plans."
