I love my HTC Arrive. One problem I've noticed, though, is that even though the manual states that a voicemail icon will show up when I have voicemail, it never appears on my phone. Are there any suggestions for correcting this problem? It seems like a pretty bare-bones feature of any phone to show when you have voicemail to listen to.
There are a couple of things we can try over the forums, but if they don't work, you will need to call in so we can call into a specific group with you on the line that has more access to the voicemail system. I'll send you a private message so I can help you out.
My Arrive (with Mango) has the voicemail notification icon on the home screen phone tile, but listening to a voicemail doesn't clear the voicemail icon, it only clears when I DELETE the voicemail(s). I find this to be stupid behavior -- on every other smartphone I've owned, listening to voicemails cleared the homescreen notification without having to delete them. Sometimes I want to keep voicemails for future reference, but if I do so on the Arrive there is no way of knowing from the home screen if I have received any NEW voicemails.
Anyone confirm that their Arrive behaves this way? Anyone agree this is a dumb way to handle voicemail notifications?
