For the last 20 days or so, we have had no coverage at my house. Sprint keeps giving days that the towers that are either being fixed or "upgraded" to be complete but still no service. Both my wife and I are on sprint.
Problem is my wife is in a wheelchair and I need to contact her several times a day to check on her and I need my phone for work since I am on call 24/7. I can't afford to be without service. How do I escalate this issue and get it resolved or do I just need to cancel sprint and go with a different carrier?

I am so sorry that you do not have any coverage at your house. Has the service always been this way or has it just been within the last 20 days? I have noticed that there are currently 2 cell site outages in your area, It looks like one we have to get the local exchange carried engaged for a resolution with an ETR of 07/25/2012 fo rthis afternoon and another ticket for ETR 07/27/2012. I definitely understand your frustrations and I hope we can get this resolved for you as soon as possible.
