I'm selling my Sprint phone - but I Need a new esn?
I'm in quite a predicament.
After being unemployed for about 2 months I'm having a hard time paying my sprint bills.
I plan on selling my Sprint phone (but it still has the acc. On it) using that money to pay the bill, and
my sister then plans on starting an account with Sprint.
I just realized I can't sell the phone with my account on the phone and after I sell it and pay the bill, I want to suspend my account until I can afford to end my contract- I just can't afford it right now with how things are going.
Is there anyway Sprint can give me a "dummy esn" so I can have the account still but not a cellphone? Or would I have to get an esn on my own some how?

Sprint will not clear your ESN until your account is paid up. If you want to get out of your contract you will also have to pay the ETF. You could always sell the phone on eBay and list is as "bad ESN." You won't get as much for it since folks can only use it by flashing it to another carrier or for parts but you'll get something at least.
