Port Number to exsisting contract?

Can I port my exsisting Verizon contract which is about to expire to my fairly new contract with Sprint? I got the Evo as a B-Day present in June, but I would like to keep my Verizon number. It was cheaper to pay out the contract then to do early cancellation at the time.

Yes, you can port a number into Sprint to replace a Sprint number. Nothing would change on the plan oir contract at all, just your number would change. Customer Care or a store should be able to do it. Just make sure you have both your number and your Verizon account number and password ready.
