Sprint should warn customers who have Samsung phones that the Airave unit does not work with them. Either that or let us replace the Samsung phones at no cost or contract penalties!
All of our Sprint CDMA phones should work with the airave. If you are having problems with your samsung device with the airave, you may want to call Technical support and speack with an airave specialist so that we can troubleshoot and if we cant resolve we may need to submit a trouble ticket.
Called tech support several times and they verbally said that the coding in Samsung phones would not work with airave. I have 3 phones and none of them are working. If I bring one of my older non-samsung phones in the house, it works perfectly.
We have seen some issues with the Samsung Galaxy SIII having issues with the airave. We have been able to fix these issues by changing the network mode to sprint only and not LTE. Then we will have the cust perform a PRL update. Have you tried doing this?
I don't understand why you were told that samsungs do not work with the airave. I know lots of people who have samsungs and they work fine with an airave. I would try calling airave department and see if you can this troubleshooted more and if needed, we may need to get this reported in and get a trouble ticket submitted.
