For this post I reached way back into the archives to see what Christmas looked like as far back as I could go. What I found was the pictures I took with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus in December of 2011. (Sidenote: if you are not using Google Photos to backup all your snapshots, Boy are you missing out.) The differences were astounding. The pictures I took back then were NOT good. Now I am no professional photographer or anything but my memories were of better photos than what actually existed.
2011 Portrait2017 PortraitNow this may not be exactly fair because one was outdoor and one was indoor but look at the difference in sharpness if nothing else. This almost makes me feel like a professional photographer.
Disney World Christmas 2011Christmas at Home 2017
It looks like I was capable of taking good shots in 2011 as evidenced by my outdoor photo at Disney World in 2011 but looking at my 2017 Christmas tree photos allowing me to use the wide angle on the left and the regular camera on the right capture so much more detail and light variances.
2011 Elves at work2017 Elves at workOverall I am really amazed at how far camera technology has come in our phones that we carry around. I am extremely happy with some of the shots I have taken this yeah and have even printed a few. Cameras used to be something that were an afterthought on cell phones now arguably they are its most important component.
LG V30 Best shots so far...
Sunset with the LG V30+Action Shots with the LG V30+Quick Snaps with the LG V30+Camera tech has come a long way in the last 5 years. I am excited to see where the next 5 years takes us and what the comparisons will be like then.
See you next time!
