Android Nougat’s feature you’ll never need on your Sprint Essential Phone
Android version 7, or Nougat, (code named simply “N”), adds a lot of cool features, but here’s on you won’t need if you’re on one of Sprint’s excellent unlimited data plans; a data saver.
Here’s how to turn it on if you are unfortunate to not be on a Sprint unlimited data plan:
First, open settings from the little gear in the drop down notification bar from the top of your screen.
Second, click on the magnifying glass and type, “Data”, then click on “Mobile Data”. From here you can toggle the switch on or off to limit your mobile data when you hit your monthly limit.
Important! DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE IF YOU ARE ON A SPRINT UNLIMITED DATA PLAN! You’ve got all the data you can use, so why would you ever want to limit it?
If you are not currently on a Sprint unlimited data plan, go to your nearest Sprint store to get that fixed. A friendly Sprint associate will gladly help rectify the situation for you. While you are there, you can pick up the new Essential Phone!
