Sprint 4G phone (Supersonic?) coming sooner then we think?

I was talking to a Clear salesguy at the mall today and mentioned I am waiting for Sprint's 4G phone to come out.  He said, "oh ya in March".  I was like, what?! that soon?  I tried to draw him out by saying, "I hear it will run Android".  He said the supersonic.  So....That is very interesting.  He also said Clear will be OEMing the saime phone.

Pretty nifty if he is right.

This is not new information. See: http://www.i4u.com/article30336.html

I would bet they got it off the Internet and it is not inside information.

From what treefq says, it sounds like a small leak of information ...

So it might actually be NEWS, good News.

Agreed all of us have already seen links and blogs about the phone and release date.

Any news from Sprint or Clear Employees is new ...

I'm having hard time finding the supposed supersonic - could you point it out on the diagram?

That's the Dopod roadmap, not a Sprint roadmap. Also, that's HSDPA, not CDMA.

March might be true. Hero and Moment are suppose to get 2.1 by early 2Q2010, which is around April. That would be a good timeline, why have phones with 2.1 features that are $79-99 at BestBuy (picked up my Moment for $29 on employer's Sprint portal), and have a $2-300 (subsidized) phone come out months later. Probably better business for them to release a 2.1 phone, make Hero and Moment users who want 2.1 NOW jump to the new phone, boost sales for a couple months and then give Hero and Moment users their updates.

I know I'll be one to jump to the Supersonic for that screen and speed. Yes please!
