Having trouble activating a brand new, unlocked, iPhone 7 Plus on Sprint

As the title suggests, I'm having trouble activating my brand new, unlocked, CDMA (A1661) iPhone 7 Plus on Sprint. I've spoken to many representatives (level 2 tech support) and visited two corporate stores and nobody know what's wrong. To answer to some basic questions:


1. Yes, this is a CDMA phone (Verizon). Model is A1661.
2. Yes, the phone is 100% unlocked. Used my wife's ATT sim card and had no problems making calls.
3. No, this phone is not leased. The phone was purchased outright from an Apple store.
4. I have a brand new Sprint sim to use with the phone.

 

The basic problem boils down to: Sprint is unable to add my IMEI/MEID to the DNA database. When the Sprint reps try to add my IMEI to the DNA, the error that is reported is: "Device has incompatible activation policy". Nobody knows what to do from there.

 

Any assistance from a Sprint specialist would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
