Poor Call Quality on IPHONE 5s

For about the past 2 months it's been very difficult to use my phone at my house even though my phone is showing both strong network and WiFi signals. I either get constant mute tones (like the person on the other end has call waiting coming in) or the call is normal for a few minutes then there will be a longer period of nothing or the call just becomes pure static out of nowhere.  I've tried every troubleshooting thing I've found, and it still isn't any better.  Super annoying not being able to make phone calls.
