Holy cow, i can't even read what you wrote!! No wonder our education is going to the pits!! Hook-on-phonics work great...you need to order it ASAP!
Oh yeah, you better pull that battery out to reboot the Android...it is time, isn't it? Every 3 or 4 days is the norm when i had my Samsung!
Here is a recent post by another person that explains things better:
"I also recently made the switch from a Droid to an iPhone 4 on Verizon. I got all into Android rooting and some light development, and it was fun for awhile. But eventually the lack of stability, the constant re-flashing to find a full-featured ROM, the fragmentation of releases among Android devices, and the absolutely awful battery life left me pretty disgusted with Android. Consider this: at this very moment there are a few devices running the most recent release of Android, and of those few devices there are even fewer who can run apps like Hulu Plus or Netflix, etc. I consider that to be a major problem, as someone may go out and buy an Android phone expecting to have feature X (which, in many cases is a software feature), but they don't find it. This is not a problem with the iPhone. Sure, you could argue that the 3G isn't going to support iOS 5, but that's to be expected. Hardware manufacturers AND carriers are currently releasing brand new phones that are either incapable of or disallowed from running the most recent version of Android. That's unacceptable.
On top of those two devices, I also recently bought an iPad 2 after the iOS5 announcement. When you talk about media, I suppose that is somewhat a valid point, but keep in mind that VLC was allowed on the App Store by Apple and then removed by one of the VLC devs because of some bogus "stick it to the man" GPL licensing complaints. Apple may not NATIVELY support many formats, but third-party app devs do. And again, this is something easily solved. Just convert your media to an iPad friendly format (the x.264 codec is VERY good for high compression/high quality) and watch it natively.
On the subject of having to jailbreak an iOS device to get necessary functionality: is that not the same case with an Android device? Android is just as closed without root as iOS is without being jailbroken. And the bad thing is Android is getting even more closed, although I applaud HTC for promising to release their phones with unlocked bootloaders. I'm sure Mein Fuhrer Verizon will slam down on that with an iron fist, though."
i have many techno-**** friends and family, a couple of which are computer/phone techs and they say the iphone is junk and they own the iphone. They said the Android platform is much better and the HTC and Samsung phones are better than anything iphone can offer. do yourself a favor and stick with Sprint and ***** the iphone....you wont have anyone tracking your every move either.
Betamax was a better platform than VHS, and that didn't work out so well for them. Your claim of "better" is relative to your experience. I believe in Android's open source philosophy, but the consuers decide what is better by the purchases, and so far... the Iphone is king.
Comment for the whole theme of this thread. There is really only one way to show your displeasure with a company for not giving you what you want. Leave. You can complain about a restaurants horrible service all you want, if you continue to patronize the place, they have no incentive to make it better. I am signing my Verizon contract tomorrow with a shinny new Iphone 4. Peace!
When we can give out information refers to myself and others who post here who are Sprint employees. We try to do so. was my error I meant try to do so in a timely manner. Normally the information is released through publicly before we get a chance. Sorry for not being clearer
14KNIGHT, I do not blame you for this. Sprint has a company policy of secrecy. This is a technology field, not an intelligence field. When companies let their consumers know what they are doing to make their experience better, they tend to get positive results. It is hard to be patient with Sprint when they try to keep everything under a veil of secrecy. When is the Iphone coming out? Who knows... When will my area have the 4G that my phone is capable of receiving? Who knows, but you can register on the website to find out.
It is a corporate policy that keeps Sprint in a solid last place. Again, I dont blame folks like you who do thier level best to be supportive and provide assistance. It is your company that is tying your hands. I am throwing in the towel.
Iphone is a great phone, but not good enough for me to jump to att nor verizon for I love the real unlimited data on Sprint. For now I am satisfied with Evo 4g and will switch to samsung galaxy s2 (if and when sprint gets it).
If you jump to another carrier now, you're screwed because what good is a data hogging phone if you have to pay out of your a$$ to use it?
Sprint will get the iphone eventually but I don't know why you would pay $200 for a sprint iphone when you could just a get an evo 3d or a Nexus S and have a better phone. I can see a lot of people wanting to leave AT&T for Sprint in order to get an iphone with unlimited data once Sprint actually does have the iphone. People with the verizon iphone will still be under contract when spint gets the iphone, but most of them are still grandfathered into unlimited data anyway.
I would like the iphone because I use Mac products at home and work... hopefully the iphone really is coming to sprint I have been holding off wating for either the iphone or my plan to end, I would be forced to leave sprint unless the iphone is an option.
