Levi4u, The version you took a screen shot is as indicated the HD version. The non HD version is still free but if you wish to utilize the added feature the $2.99 will apply, much like the additional channels on SprintTV such as Sprint TV extra.
It's a simple upgrade to the existing app to give better picture quality, that can only be used on WiFi, So we are being charged to get better quality pic on our own network? It's outrageous to be charged to upgrade a Sprint app that is included in our plans.
We've suffered through all the pixilation for years and now that they have an upgrade that will give clearer pics they want to charge? And you cannot even use the new feature on their network. SMH!
The HD option is a monthly recurring charge of $2.99. It is an optional add on feature for higher def quality feed when on WiFi. It is not required for viewing Sprint TV on network signal or from WiFi. To bypass, simply hit the (X) and continue forward without choosing the option. To subscribe, select "Upgrade" and your subscription will begin for HD quality feed while viewing Sprint TV on WiFi for ESPN Mobile, Disney, ABC, CBS, NBC and more...
WOW! Since when is it now a monthly fee of $2.99? The way I understood it when this was first posted it was a one time fee per the pic posted to upgrade the app to enable HD content. Notice on the first pic it does not state it is a monthly fee, But it sure does now.
Now it's $2.99 p/m to watch HD TV using OUR WiFI and not even Sprint's network?
