Getting Ringtones for your smartphone

Mobile technology is evolving quickly, and Sprint is watching the trends. Over the past year, we have seen an explosion of interest in smartphones. Whether you are a fan of Blackberry, Android or Palm, there are options, storefronts and partners waiting to help you get what you are looking for.

Please make informed choices when you are downloading applications and Ringtones to your device. Some we have found that are very trustworthy are listed below, catagorized by device operating system. If you need more information or have questions, feel free to post or send me a PM.

Blackberry:

Check out Music Box by Dada Entertainment:

Android:

Personally, I use RingTone by MarkPel Ringtones:

This service has Ringtones ready to use, and also allows you to cut your own Ringtones from MP3s you already own.

Also for Android:

With regard to Palm and WinMo devices - so far, no developers are sharing information about free Ringtone services. I will continue looking for options and also let you know that Sprint will be launching a new Music service in 2011, which will provide Ringtones and Ringback Tones to our Palm customers.

The Sprint Digital Lounge provides access to thousands of Ringtones for our Java devices. There are also free Ringtone services available around the web. Be sure to check out the End User Licensing Agreements, as some plan to and will sell your information.

I will update this Blog weekly - let me know what you would like to learn about next!
