Sprint ID giving error message 15 times per day

I get this message about 15 times per day.  When I force stop Sprint ID, the messages stop for about a day, and then Sprint ID turns itself back on, and the error messages resume.  I have a LG V20.  I can't disable Sprint ID. It's greyed out.  Anything I can do?

Yeah, I saw that thread already.  It seems to contain a lot of dead ends.  The only post that MAY have worked is to factory reset the phone.  Since I just did that 3 months ago, I was hoping there would be another solution.  How would I go about installing/finding the actual ID app itself, so I can try the steps above?

Hello there TAR2! Not meaning to sound repetitive, but I sure do appreciate your patience with this issue. I know it is irritating to receive those pop up messages everyday.  I will follow up with my management and get back with you today to see of there has been any progress.

Hey TAR2! Glad to hear that the hard reset resolved the issue. Sprint ID isn't Malware, though.  It's part of the OS that pre-installs certified applications that you may or may not find useful.  You do have the ability to delete or disable those apps once they've been installed.

Hi There, 

Have you walked through all of these steps? 

  1. From the home screen, click the ID icon.
  2. At Choose your ID screen, press the menu button, click Manage.
  3. Under All content section, click All IDs.
  4. In All Content screen, select one of the following options:
    • If all content: Select the categories to remove.
    • If individual content within a category: Select the expand option > icon for the category, check the box for the individual content.
  5. Select Remove > Continue

No. I don't actually have the ID app. I only have Sprint ID in the applications list in settings. I have to turn on system

I reached out to the tech person on our team and he suggested that you try an update by dialing ##27263#

That was two days ago. I also tried scrtn today. That didn't help either.

Wow! That is pretty annoying! We will have to have our Tech Team look farther into this issue so that we can find some type of resolution for you.
