Powercycle the phone first.. Check if you see 1XEV on the top right(show coverage)..Make sure you go to manage connections- check Sprint Network. Turn off WI-FI network from manage connection icon.Then go to Options-advance options- Host Routing Table(depends on phone model)- menu- reg now and then go to options-mobile network-meny- update profile/start provisoning.
If this is a replacement device did you get it from Sprint or a third party? If from a third party the device may have to be reset to factory defaults to clear out old information. This also happens occasionally with phones from Sprint. If when you press the green phone key you see a phone number t hat is not yours or if the device has been manually programmed for voice it will mostly likely need to be reset if the above steps do not work.
