I'm totally stumped on this and the fact I have really four companies
involved means finger pointing with no answers:
Have a new Blackberry Tour 9630 from Sprint. I setup the
Desktop Manager and set it to sync to yahoo. Contacts and notes sync
For calendar, the syncing does not occur. Moreover, somehow the
Desktop Manager "locks" the online yahoo calendar. Immediately after
syncing, it gets a code 41 error on the yahoo website when you go to
the calendar. At first I thought the yahoo calendar was corrupt since
each time after syncing, the calendar was unavailable and thus I
thought THAT was the reason it wouldn't sync.
After testing, I realized that the calendar was fine until syncing occurred.
I tried syncing the blackberry to my personal yahoo account. No code
41, but no syncing either.
I tried ALL options of syncing (one way to yahoo, from yahoo, merge,
Blackberry says to contact Sprint
Sprint says to contact Yahoo
Yahoo says to contact AT&T
AT&T says to contact Blackberry....and so it goes all over again.
My gut tells me it isn't the software installation. I've done all
updates and reinstalled the program.
Any ideas of what to try?
Very much so! We keep getting different answers as to the problem! I'm so frustrated. We have a number of phones with Sprint and thinking of ditching them all. Smartphones are so important these days and if I can't sync my calendar it has no value. When I factor in all the time I spent on this, it's the most expensive phone I've every owned that still doesn't work right. Please help!!!
I researched this a little bit more with the product management team and the Tour does not support syncing with the Yahoo "calendar". The Tour does support Yahoo email.
That's not what I was told. Please provide your source for the answer. Why is it being advertised as supporting yahoo calendar and why does the software allow the function. I feel very deceived if indeed this does not support yahoo calendar syncing
