I have never used the Blackberry e-mail for anything and it gets no mail, if you don't set up any other e-mail accounts with the device it won't pull mail for them, plain and simple.

@if you have e-mail accounts set-up on your Curve, disabling e-mail should be as simple as removing the e-mail accounts associated with your PIN and not giving out your @BlackBerry.com e-mail address.

Not quite sure what you mean.

Don't give anyone your BB e-mail address that gets created when you set the device up? Don't add any additional e-mail addresses for the device to check?

I told you, don't give out the e-mail address that is assigned to your device when you first set it up, and don't add any other e-mail addresses to the device either through the website, or the add e-mail wizard on the phone.

I have never used the Blackberry e-mail for anything and it gets no mail, if you don't set up any other e-mail accounts with the device it won't pull mail for them, plain and simple.

Hello,

Do you know if there is a way to turn the email notification (alert) off?

I get emails all day so my phone is going off constantly. I want to continue to see the message, but I do not want the alert.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Monica

You can change the alerts in your profile section.  go to profiles, then advanced, then choose the profile you want to use, then choose Messages {your email address}, and click on that, it will give you the option page...change out of holster and in holser to none and all you will get is the red led light and the icon on your screen that you have new mail.

hope this helps
