Device Not Detected

I have been using my Blackberry Curve as a modem for the past year, then all of a sudden it stopped working 2 days ago. I called tech support and was told it was because i didn't have a phone as modem data plan, so I added it. It worked for one day but now sprint smartview nor my computer detects my device. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, can this be fixed?  Any help would be appreciated.

Did Smartview do any updates lately? Click Help>About Sprint Smartview and look at the version number. IF it is higher than 2.25, it no longer includes the drivers to use your phone as a modem. If that is the case, you can do this:

Go to http://www.nextel.com/en/software_downloads/pda_smartphone/blackberry_8330.shtml and download this version of Smartview. OR

IF the version you have is 2.25 or earlier, just simply uninstall and reinstall. If issues persist, I would suggest visitng a Service and Repair Center so that they can test the port.
