Software or any directory in the phone may have been corrupted.To resolve this issue perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry® Device Software on the BlackBerry smartphone using the application loader tool in Blackberry desktop manger.
Actually, there was no way to reload it. Apparently a 102 typically means the phone is just shot, as was the case with mine. They had to order a new one and I lost everything that was on the phone. Thanks, RIM. Ah well - guess I shoulda been backing it all up.
