When texting, its so easy to exceed to 160 character limit for SMS on Sprint. The error is irrecoverable, as I get the red circle icon at left/top of the text mesage, and a red "General Problems" notation below the message.
Doesn't Sprint offer the capability to automatically break the long text into multiple text messages, and send them sequentially? Or is there a hidden setting to enable. If not, why isn't this feature enabled by default?
I read this on crackberry forum:

ARe you running a leaked OS? I noticed this issue on leaked 10.2.1.1926 but don't remember having it on stock 10.1. admittedly, I didn't use 10.1 for too long, but I write some long texts and don't remember having that problem.
I'm running 10.2.1.1925. The only texting feature that changed from stock to *.1925 was the auto-scroll to current line being typed. Actually, I cannot recall whether I ran into the text limit "General Problems" message on stock phone. Perhaps, someone with the original phone can check.
