OnePlus 8 5G (IN2017) - One Plus 8 Does Not Reliably Dial Out after MR Update

Symptoms

Customers may not be able to reliably dial out (make phone calls) after updating to the September software release: 10.5.20.IN55CB.  You can receive calls without issue.

Customers may observe when placing calls they will hear ringing and when the person they are calling answers that the phone dialer app will close.

 

 

Solution

Please inform the customer we are working to provide corrective software to resolve this behavior and should be deployed on 9/26/2020

 

Do not exchange or factory data reset devices as the issue may recur until the fix is available. 

 

Software version 10.5.20.IN55CB is no longer available for download effective 9/14/20.
