SOLUTION: Coolpad Tracker + Safe & Found (CP311A) QR code "Error Pairing Tracker"

Symptoms

When setting up the Tracker and attempting to scan the QR code, some users are reporting an error message which states "Error Pairing Tracker".

 

 

Solution

Be aware that the Coolpad Tracker and the handset being used with it must be active on the same account. That account must not have more than 50 active lines already. Additionally, the Tracker only works on Sprint 4G Networks in the US. This product is not available in PR or VI. 

1. Make sure the Tracker has a blinking green light indicating it is ready to pair 
2. Confirm the IMEI number scanned in the application matches the IMEI on the back of the device 
3. Validate the most current version of the Safe & Found application is installed on the handset 
4. Identify if the Tracker has been previously paired to another device. If so, perform a factory reset on the Tracker 

If the Tracker still displays the error message, please contact Sprint Technical Support.
