Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, S20+ 5G, Ultra 5G - Slow data

Symptoms

In some areas where 5G coverage is weak, one may notice very low to no throughput making the device unusable

 

 

Solution

If the device cannot do data and the 5G icon is displayed on the device then place the device in 4G LTE mode (not Automatic mode) by going to Settings / Connections / Mobile networks / Network mode / 4G(LTE) / CDMA.

 

This should allow the device to be usable in those areas. This is a temporary workaround until a permanent fix is in place.
