Galaxy Nexus buyer beware

Re: Galaxy Nexus buyer beware

There is something wrong with your phone. It is not a software issue. If it was a software issue don't you think there would be a lot more complaints? There are thousands of these phones out there and not just on Sprint so if it was a software problem you'd find a lot more about it.

If you are in an area with weak signal, yes your phone will search for signal, get hot as it increases transmit power to try to find a signal and kill the battery fast. Samsung (not just on Sprint and not just the Nexus) phones are known for having weak radios/antennas.

As far as 4G, yes Sprint plans to roll out 4G...they are upgrading EVERY single 3G tower they own to 4G (4G IS LTE by the way). If you were saying they have no plans to roll out WiMax (what the older 4G phones use) then yes, you are correct. They abandoned that a couple years ago in favor of LTE. In the case of WiMax Sprint was relying on an outside company, Clearwire, to provide WiMax. It didn't work out so now they are deploying LTE on their own.
