Palm Pre / Pixi App Catalog Search not available

We've gotten reports and seen that the App Catalog is returning a 'Temporarily Not Available" message when you try to search for apps.

Sprint has contacted Palm and is investigating this problem.  As we find out more information, we'll post in this thread.

Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience,

Re: Palm Pre / Pixi App Catalog Search not available

Outline below is the Palm Pre and Pixi Application Catalog Search Issue and Customer Workaround.

When Palm Pre or Pixi users search the app catalog the search function is unavailable.

  • Searching for an application contained within the Catalog will result in the following message: App Catalog Unavailable. Try again later.
  • A search query for an application that is not contained in the App Catalog will result in the expected "No Applications Found." message.

Customer workaround: Customers can still access the App Catalog to view/download applications by navigating the application Categories or Featured Apps options within the Catalog. This issue only affects the search function against applications contained within the Catalog.  Palm is investigating the issue for prompt resolution.

Palm Forums are reporting it's sorted; internal testing shows the Catalog search is now working.
