HTC HD2

The "Leo" is actually the HD2.

I hope one of the USA network carriers like Sprint decide to release the HD2. This device has many people interested in the device and has created a lot of buzz on various cell phone forums. To me, this is the first device that can truly overtake the revered iPhone based on features.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here are some videos to explain why this phone is getting a lot of attention. You may notice in the video that the phone is labeled as Pro.Three, however this was filler text since the official release name of HD2 as been revealed.

The HD2 would be a great item to release Q4 2009 or Q1 2010 in the USA even though the HD never was released in the USA.

Re: HTC HD2

I agree.

This would be an absolutely awesome phone. The first US carrier to obtain it will finally have a real competitor to go up against the iPhone. And we would finally beable to shut them up. The screens a little bigger then the original HD but it's oh so thin that it possibly makes up for the slightly larger size.

Right now, it's appearing to be European only like the original HD.

Re: HTC HD2

Me too. I recently got the HTC TP2 to upgrade from my old PPC-6700. The TP2 is nice, but this HD2 would have been ever better 🙂 Although I would guess Sprint would probably have sold it for $800 seeing as how much the TP2 is. Always behind the curve a bit...

Re: HTC HD2

It appears that the first video is down. However, it was noted by one of the viewers that in the video about 5:45 it shows CDMA privacy mode.

You can read more about the device and the comments from the tester called msav at the link below.

Re: HTC HD2

It appears that HD2 will be available on T-Moble in Europe. Hopefully the HD2 will be release by an USA carrier.

Re: HTC HD2

Engadget hands on and videos.  Would be amazing if this phone came to Sprint.  My guess is either Sprint or Verizon, and i hope they put Android on it versus WM.  Could be T-mobile since that's one carrier that will have it in the UK, but that would be a disaster here in the states imo.  Highly doubtful that AT&T would grab it up due to Apple and their iPhone.

Re: HTC HD2

It's also the most anticipated phone of the year. I for one have been following it since it was a twinkle in HTC's eye, back when they were calling it the Firestone. The specs and look have changed considerably from what was originally leaked. And ALL of it for the better in my opinion.

God I hope Sprint listens to it's customers.

I especially like the way the whole Weather functionality works. Just awesome.

Re: HTC HD2

That phone looks so....massive lol. I watched a video of it the other day before these threads were made and it's pretty darn snappy. It's a lil big for me though.
