Sprint Product Ambassadors: HTC Bolt Camera Review
The HTC Bolt from Sprint features a 16 megapixel rear camera with full manual control. HTC’s manual camera controls are the most intuitive in the business. You can save as jpeg or a raw DNG file, but for most of my shooting, I just left it on jpeg. Some of these photos were taken in auto mode with HDR on, but most were in manual mode.
This camera exposes accurately in any kind of light, whether bright and harsh, or really dark.
The flash is the best on any camera, and no other phone comes close to it. The flash is used to fill dark areas without ever blowing out the main subject. It’s incredible in use, and works better than most standalone cameras, including many DSLRs.
I really liked the camera on the HTC 10, and it had the best lens of any HTC phone up until that point. The Bolt’s lens has even less distortions; geometry always looks natural.
